Unique Holdings:
- OSMTJ (Martinez) claims recognition from the royal Alphonsine-Burgundian house of Portugal that went extinct in 1383. For a royal house to be considered extinct means that there are no living descendants of the family line who have a legitimate claim to the throne or royal titles associated with the family. This recognition was signed by a claimed modern-day prince of that house, so it has been pointed out that this a con or scam. This issue has caused concerns even among some of Martinez’s supporters.
Pros:
Cons:
- The election that established this group was instigated by one Timothy Bryant Jones after he was expelled from OSMTJ (Mangum) for sedition and then proclaimed himself “acting Regent.” This resulted in the dubious election of Luis Martinez of (OSMTJ Martinez). The doubtfulness of the election stems from the lack of authority of Jones to call for elections as an expelled member of OSMTJ, and the fact that a publicly available evaluation of the votes determined that only two possible votes cast were actual original OSMTJ members for Martinez. It is also possible, according to the vote analysis, that those two votes were abstained or invalid, thus electing Martinez with zero original OSMTJ votes.
- Verified documents demonstrate that Martinez was artificially elevated by Bryant Jones, self-proclaimed “acting Regent,” from a common knight to Prior Florida, Grand Prior of Puerto Rico, Grand Turcopolier, and finally to Grand Cross – within three weeks – all after the election was announced. This type of contrived promotion does not indicate sincere accomplishment to the average eye, but instead, seems to demonstrate an executed plan of placing Martinez in power in the upcoming election.
- Timothy Bryant Jones, Martinez’s appointer to Grand Master, had been expelled from four (4) different branches of Templarism for sedition, treason or usurpation by the time he orchestrated the rise of Martinez. These branches are, in chronological order, OSMTJ (Vanderstock), OSMTJ Internationalis (Romolo), OSMTJ (Hastier), OSMTJ (Mangum). He has since been expelled from OSMTJ (Martinez) as well, also for sedition, bringing the total to five (5) expulsions. The expulsion of Timothy Bryant Jones by Luis Martinez lead to Jones appointing Philippe Matta as his Grand Master in response, thereby creating OSMTJ (Matta).
- OSMTJ (Martinez) claims recognition from Nicolas Haimovici Hastier, leader of OSMTJ-Regent. However, Hastier has publicly stated that he does not have any personal knowledge of Martinez. Hastier has also expelled Rudy Stevens, former Belgian leader under Hastier, now with Martinez, for falsely claiming Hastier’s support for Martinez. In a publicly available letter, Hastier refers to Martinez and the expelled Rudy Stevens as “enemies of the Order.” Additionally, as of the current time, Martinez’s website still mentions Hastier’s recognition, without his consent and stated opposition.
- Since Martinez’s supposed predecessor, Nicolas Haimovici Hastier, has no knowledge of him or why any anyone calls him Grand Master, it is difficult to justify any claim of Luis Martinez as a legitimate succession in the OSMTJ.
- The fact that OSMTJ (Martinez) owns websites that are suspiciously close to other rival orders, (ie, osmtj.global (Mangum)/osmtj.world (Martinez emulation), which indicates they are likely attempting to engender confusion, and possibly attempting to trick or deceive people to go to their site instead of the the site the searcher intended.
- Many of the Grand Priories listed on webpages that show Martinez as Grandmaster still belong to OSMTJ (Mangum), and were not removed after the schism to give this group the appearance of worldwide presence.
- This group has now been split and the order is now two splinter groups. One lead by Vicenzo Tuccillo and the other by Rudy Stevens
